In an emotional vlog posted to her YouTube channel just hours before her first appearance on WWE television, new NXT signee Blake Monroe gave fans an inside look at the raw nerves and overwhelming gratitude she felt as she prepared to achieve her lifelong dream.
“I can’t believe I’m making this vlog,” Monroe began, speaking from her closet to keep her debut a secret. “I am making my NXT debut in about five hours… To actually be able to sit here today at 26 years old and say I am a WWE superstar is the greatest achievement of my life.”
Monroe recounted her long and winding journey, which began as a child in England wrestling her brothers, to training in warehouses, and traveling across Europe for independent shows in front of crowds as small as 30 people. She detailed leaving everything behind to move first to Japan and then to America, pursuing her goal by herself. “I feel like you guys saw something in me that I still struggle to kind of see in myself. And I’m so grateful,” she told her supporters.
She also spoke with candor about a recent period of doubt, where she wasn’t sure if a WWE career was still a possibility. “I felt a little dejected at the end of last year, and I didn’t know it was an option for me,” Monroe admitted. It wasn’t until she began training at the Flatbacks wrestling school that her passion was reignited. “I just fell in love with wrestling again. I felt like I was back in the game, and I want to do so much more… I believe in myself again.”
That self-belief was reinforced by advice from her father. “My dad said, ‘Life isn’t a dress rehearsal. You get one go. This is your dream since you were a little kid.’ And so everything happened really quickly, and I’m doing it.”
Even with the contract signed, the reality of the moment was still sinking in. “I didn’t think I was gonna be in WWE, and it still doesn’t really feel real to me,” she confessed while fighting back tears. “This is maybe, thus far, the greatest achievement of my life, to be a part of WWE… I feel like a great chapter has finished, and now I’m ready for the biggest chapter of my life.”
That next chapter began on the June 17, 2025, episode of NXT. During her official contract signing, Monroe was confronted and brutally attacked by the faction Fatal Influence, consisting of NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx. The show ended with Monroe being slammed through a table, immediately establishing her first major rivalry in NXT.
