Bobby Lashley has officially moved on from WWE.
Lashley and MVP decided to leave WWE with reports of the expectation that they’re AEW-bound to reform The Hurt Business with Shelton Benjamin. Remember that the group won’t be complete, as Cedric Alexander remains under contract with WWE.
On August 1st, MVP became a free agent and departed from the company. Regarding Lashley, his deal expired earlier this month after WWE made him an offer, but it wasn’t one that immediately made him “jump to sign,” as described by one source via PWInsider.com.
There have been discussions about him backstage in AEW, although AEW has yet to make an offer to him since he’s still under contract with WWE. Those close to him have said Lashley is also interested in fighting again and believes he will at least appear in AEW.
Lashley last wrestled in May. He’s ready to make his return to TV. As seen below, WWE officially confirmed his departure as he moved his profile to the alumni section of its website:
