Bobby Lashley on Hulk Hogan’s WWE return: “Nothing to do with me”

Last week, The New Day and Titus O’Neil issued statements on Twitter after it was announced that Hulk Hogan was reinstated into the WWE Hall Of Fame. Mark Henry told TMZ that the reaction on Hogan from black wrestlers was 50/50. At this point, I haven’t seen anything positive said publicly by wrestlers on the active roster and we probably won’t hear too much from Bobby Lashley.

GiveMeSport’s Alex McCarthy had the chance to ask Lashley about Hogan in a recent conference call and it was a straight-forward answer: “If he’s in, he’s in. Nothing to do with me.”

It certainly looks like Lashley was among many in the locker room not satisfied with Hogan talking about getting caught on tape rather than giving a sincere apology and making an attempt to show that he has changed.

Other notes from the conference call:

– Lashley hopes WWE can find something more for Apollo Crews because he has so much untapped potential
– He put over Roman Reigns as a professional and also said that Elias, Braun Strowman and Finn Balor are some of his favorite wrestlers but Crews is underrated.
– On Roman Reigns: “It kills me to be out in the ring with somebody of his level and the crowd be divided as to whether or not he deserves to be in the position he is – and I don’t get it. He has the look, he’s a great athlete and he’s a great in-ring performer.”

Lashley lost a number 1 contender’s match for the Universal Title on Raw this week but he got a win over Reigns at Extreme Rules so it looks like he will be in the title picture soon, perhaps after SummerSlam.
