NXT Champion Bobby Roode recently spoke with Sean Waltman on X-Pac 12360 this week. During the interview, he was asked about his plans for the future in WWE. Roode stated that this is a great place to be for him and that he would be lying if he said that he never wanted to be on RAW or SmackDown Live. He said that he is just making the most of the time he has down in NXT, and when WWE feels like the right time to call him up, then he will try to capitalize on that opportunity the same way that he did here in NXT.
When asked about his Glorious theme song, he said that he thinks that WWE made it for somebody else and that the original song that they sent him was nothing like the glorious song. He noted that they had it kind of set out that the original song was what he was going to use when he made his debut. However, he gave credit to Triple H and said that he is a very smart man and he thought that the glorious song would fit his character a little better. He noted that when he listened to it, it was totally different from his original song and that it was different from everybody else’s songs. He said that whenever you can be different and unique, then that’s a good opportunity. He didn’t love the song at first but the more he listened to it, the catchier it got and caught on fire with the fans.
