Booker T has named Jade Cargill vs. Rhea Ripley as the match he is most looking forward to at WrestleMania 42.
Speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T made clear which match on the card had captured his attention more than any other heading into the two-night event in Las Vegas.
“Without even a shadow of a doubt, it’s gonna be Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley. Those two together, that’s a marquee match. That’s a main event anywhere in the world. We’re going to get a chance to see exactly what Jade Cargill is made of. All the talk, all the doubters, all the naysayers get a chance to shut all them up. That’s what I’m looking forward to more than anything. I’m looking forward to Rhea Ripley, man. She’s the star, major, major, mega star. So for me, both of these ladies together, that’s a Molotov cocktail. It is about to blow up in Las Vegas, Nevada,” Booker T said.
When asked who he thought would walk out as champion, Booker T declined to call the finish but made clear the match itself is what matters most to him.
“Whatever happens is going to happen as far as that goes. But I do see Jade Cargill having some major momentum right now. The fans are loving the hater. For me as a promoter, I’m gonna run with it for a while. I just want to see a banger with the ladies. I want to see them go out there, really tear the house down. This right here, this is the biggest women’s marquee match that we’ve seen in quite some time. And if they go out there and pull it off, my God, it’s gonna be good. I’m looking forward to Jade Cargill going out there and really bringing it to another level. I’m looking forward to seeing Rhea go out there and pull the Rip Tide out and have a great match,” Booker T said.
Cargill defends the WWE Women’s Championship against Ripley on night two of WrestleMania 42 on April 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
