Booker T is a big fan of NXT newcomer Nikki Blackheart, though he had one important piece of advice for her after watching her debut.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, the veteran raved about Blackheart’s aggressive style. “I’m a big fan of, you know, just bring the smoke,” Booker said. “She’s gonna be a big star in WWE. I love her aggression, man. You can see where she lay it in. You getting whacked. I love it.”
However, Booker did flag a concerning moment from her debut, when Blackheart appeared to tweak her knee while hoisting her opponent up for a torture rack. The Hall of Famer used it as a teaching moment about the dangers of performing a big move without preparation. “You never really want to work a cold muscle. You make sure you warm that muscle up,” Booker advised. “Run through it in your head, and run through it many, many times, opposed to just going out there doing it.”
Booker was confident it was a one-time lesson learned. “I’m 100% positive she’ll never make that mistake ever again,” he said, while adding with a laugh that he’s still getting to know the new star. “I don’t know what her name is, because when she made the debut, I didn’t know who she was.”
