Booker T: Oba Femi ‘Looked Like He Belonged On The Main Roster’ At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

Booker T was full of praise for the NXT talent showcased at Saturday Night’s Main Event, specifically highlighting Je’Von Evans and Oba Femi. On his Hall of Fame podcast, the NXT commentator spoke about seeing Evans interact with the main roster environment at such a young age.

“I got a chance to see both of them. I got you to see Je’von, of course, man, that kid, he’s so excited right now, as far as what he’s doing, so happy about going out there and doing, and he seemed to be so comfortable being in that situation at 21 years old,” Booker T said. “That’s what gets me more than anything. He’s so young, and in that situation, under those bright lights, man, it doesn’t seem like it bothers him at all. It seems like he shines like crazy.”

He also commended Oba Femi for his performance against Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Booker T believes Femi proved he is ready for the biggest stages in the company.

“But Ober definitely went out there and did a hell of a job with Cody Rhodes,” Booker T stated. “It looked like he belonged on the main roster. Looked like he could compete with anybody you know, in the main roster right now, just the walk, you know, the tribal walk, you know what I mean, and then to get there and, you know, really turn into Ober Femi and go in the middle of that ring and handle business from both sides. You know? I mean, Ober Femi knows exactly how to go out there and perform. And he still has so much, so much more to learn. He really does. But I look at him now, and in his infancy stages, and, man, he has picked it up so, so quickly. So, yeah, man, I see nothing but nothing but a bright, bright future for that kid, Oba Femi.”
