Booker T says Finn Balor should bring back The Demon character following his ouster from The Judgment Day, calling it one of the coolest gimmicks he has ever seen in professional wrestling.
Speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T was asked for his thoughts on Balor’s exit from The Judgment Day after the group turned on him in a recent segment on Raw. Booker T said the timing could be perfect for a character revival.
“Finn Balor definitely could bring the Demon King back,” Booker T said. “That’s something that people are gonna be clamoring for. If you do it, that’s just one of the coolest gimmicks that I’ve ever seen a guy actually go out and perform in the middle of the squared circle.”
Booker T praised the visual impact of The Demon character, which sees Balor appear with full body paint and an elaborate entrance. He referenced a performer from WWE’s past who had a similarly striking visual presentation before circling back to Balor’s gimmick. “I can see the Demon coming back,” Booker T said.
The Judgment Day voted Balor out of the group in a segment on the March 17 episode of Raw, with Liv Morgan explaining in a video that it had always been her plan to remove him. The split has set up what figures to be a significant program heading toward WrestleMania 42, with Balor now positioned as a babyface.
The Demon character has not been used regularly in recent years. Balor last brought out The Demon during a significant feud and the gimmick has historically been reserved for premium live events and high-stakes matches. WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18 and 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
