The next generation of the Mysterio family is currently training to shake up the professional wrestling world. Dominic, the son of current WWE star and former World Champion Rey Mysterio, has been doing some intense preparation for his career inside the squared circle. The 21-year-old has been on WWE TV before, as he was used in a storyline between Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero on SmackDown in the early 2000s.
Now, Dominic wants to follow in his father's footsteps and take the WWE by storm. After wrapping up a training session with former WWE star Lance Storm, Dominic is on his way to work with WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T at "Reality Of Wrestling." Speaking on the "WINCLY" podcast recently here's what Booker T had to say about Dominic's training:
"[Dominic's] learned just about every form that he needs to learn," Booker said. "And now to give him a little bit of a TV run [when he joins ROW] and let him work with some of my guys. It's going to be awesome to work with the son of a guy I respect so much. A guy who I always said was my favorite wrestler in Rey Myseterio."
Also, former WCW star, Konnan (Dominic's godfather), joined the podcast to talk about Dominic's training. Konnan also noted that Mysterio's recent return to WWE was in order to try and open up the door for his son to the professional wrestling juggernaut:
"He's incredible because he's not like your typical wrestler or son's wrestler," Konnan said. "He didn't grow up wanting to be a wrestler. He was very disinterested and all of a sudden he told his dad, 'I think I want to try this.' That's one of the reasons [Mysterio] went back to WWE, because he wants to open up the doors for Dominic."
