Booker T: “I’m hoping Bobby Lashley goes out there and beats the hell out of Kofi Kingston like a heavyweight is supposed to do”

On the latest episode of “The Hall Of Fame” podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T previewed the upcoming Money In The Bank pay-per-view. He also gave his thoughts on the recently released WWE stars, the return of Edge, and more.

Booker was asked if he’s glad to see Edge returning:

“Of course I am. Edge is trying to finish the thing, more than anything. I can feel where he’s coming from. Was it one of those eyebrow raisers? I think so. I think the people are like, ‘Oh yea. We have something here, baby.’ One thing about the old school, it isn’t dead yet. That’s why a lot of times we keep having to go back to it in certain ways. That’s why there’s still a lot of chatter if John Cena is coming back? Is John Cena going to have one last match?  All the talk about John Cena sucks, but people still want to see him. Right now, if the Rock was to come back and have a match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, don’t think it’s not going to be sold out with people hanging from the rafters. Edge right now is getting himself in the best shape he possibly can, going out there and saying, ‘Hey man. Let’s do this. Let’s run it. Let’s run it back.’ I like that. Let’s see exactly what Edge still has left in the tank, because we all know this is Edge’s last hurrah.”

Booker gave his thoughts on the upcoming Bobby Lashley vs. Kofi Kingston match:

“I’m hoping Bobby Lashley goes out there and beats the hell out of Kofi Kingston (he laughs) like a heavyweight is supposed to do. You go out there and you beat on this man, and you beat on this man, and you beat on him until he says, ‘Please, just don’t beat me anymore.’ That’s the way I feel this thing should work out. For me, this match should be like Bobby is playing ‘Beat The Clock’ (he laughs again). It’s got to be quick, man, straight into the Hurt Lock, the one punch, right into the Hurt Lock. It isn’t going to be a competition. That’s my prediction.”
