Booker T on Vince McMahon: “I wouldn’t want to jump ahead of myself and say something that I have no idea what’s really going on”

Booker T took a cautious approach when discussing the bombshell of a story that broke on Wednesday regarding the allegations made against Vince McMahon.

As previously reported by the Wall Street Journal, McMahon has been accused of paying $3 million to a former WWE paralegal to keep an affair quiet. The board of WWE started an investigation into this back in April as the agreement prevented this former employee from speaking about the alleged affair and cannot say anything disparaging about McMahon.

It has expanded into other nondisclosure agreements that involve misconduct claims made by other former female WWE employees about McMahon and WWE’s head of talent relations John Laurinaitis. One email was cited in the report noting McMahon increased the woman’s salary from $100,000 to $200,000 after beginning a sexual relationship with her and that McMahon “gave her like a toy” to Laurinaitis.

Booker T spoke about the situation on The Hall of Fame Podcast. He started out by stating:

“It’s a serious situation as far as the allegations. I wouldn’t want to jump ahead of myself and say something that I have no idea what’s really going on.”

He intends to “sit back and wait a minute,” and once he has that information then “we’ll dive into that and see exactly how it looks.”

He continued, “I’m on the home team and for me hearing news like this, it’s not good news,” going on to describe the situation as “so touchy, as far as the individual that’s making the claim, as well as the individual that’s being accused. It’s as touchy as it could possibly be.”

McMahon is planning to be at Friday’s SmackDown and treat things as business as usual.
