Booker T gave his thoughts on WALTER’s comments in an interview saying he did not want to go to WWE or do the WWE road schedule because he still wants to live in Europe:
“I can totally understand that, as well as, if I’m the WWE, and I’m trying to build a company, WALTER is the guy that I would want to be right there somewhere near the top. Everybody is going to be chasing or he is going to be right there on somebody’s heels. I get that. If I had the chance, if I had a choice, if I could get him, he is the type of guy I would want to build around right here on RAW or SmackDown because he is just that good.”
Booker talking about the impact Adam Cole can make in AEW along with AEW’s recent additions to its roster:
“I don’t look at it as a single situation. I look at it from a unit perspective. I look at it, for instance, if I have a football team, I have to fill every spot on the roster. Everybody has to be the best at what they do in that position on the roster. That’s the way I’m looking at it. For instance, if this was the military, I need another soldier that’s going to be ready to step up in ranks in command at the drop of a hat.
A guy like Adam Cole definitely is a guy like that because he can work. He can perform at a very, very high level. You can put him with anybody, go out there, and give you what you need. That for me, is what I’m thinking about when it comes to a show. Guys that can get out there that can get out there and perform. Guys that can get out there and go, bring behinds to seats, and ratings to this television product that we have.
Yea, he will be a hell of a soldier. He will be a hell of a teammate to that addition any way you look at it. The guy is obviously a team player because he’s been down in NXT since day 1.”
During the same episode, Booker also talked about CM Punk’s upcoming in-ring return in AEW, Awesome Kong’s retirement, Daniel Bryan going to AEW, Trevor Murdoch winning the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and more.
