WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently shared his excitement and insights about the upcoming WWE show, “LFG: Legends and Future Greats,” on his “Hall of Fame” podcast. The show will feature Booker T, The Undertaker, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Mickie James leading teams of up-and-coming wrestlers.
Booker T emphasized the competitive nature of the show and the importance of teamwork: “It’s going to be a system to who’s going to come out at the end of the day with the best team, who’s going to put together the best team, who’s going to teach their team the most about this business in a limited amount of time.”
He also highlighted the duality of the wrestling business: “One thing about this business also, it’s a very, very selfish business, but it’s a very selfless business at the same time. It’s got a whole lot to do with what the business is truly all about. Even though we want to win, we know it takes more than us to win, even my team. My team has to make everybody look as good as they possibly can.”
Booker T believes “LFG” will offer viewers a unique glimpse behind the scenes of the wrestling world: “It’s going to let the fans come behind the curtain just a little bit and see not just what it’s like behind the curtain, but how hard it is to be behind the curtain, how stressful it is to be behind the curtain, how competition drives you, or bends you, or sometimes break you. It’s got so many different elements to it. I think that’s why, for me, I love it.”
“LFG: Legends and Future Greats” will feature a unique format where legends like Booker T, The Undertaker, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Mickie James will guide and train teams of rising WWE Superstars, providing viewers with an inside look at the challenges and triumphs of the wrestling business. The show will air on A&E in early 2025.
