WWE Hall of Famer and co-host of the Hall of Fame podcast Booker T recently commented on the upcoming WrestleMania match between AJ Styles and The Undertaker.
When Booker was asked by co-host Brad Gilmore how he thought The Phenomenal One would fare in the bout he emphatically answered. “I think AJ is doing the job. So we can skip the rest of the foreplay or whatever. Get right to the point.”
AJ Styles cut a scathing promo on The Undertaker during last night’s episode of WWE RAW. Styles would call ‘Taker a ‘broken down old man called Mark Calloway.’ AJ would also refer to ‘Taker’s wife Michelle McCool, calling her ‘conniving’ and saying that she will ‘run him into the ground.’ Styles would then officially challenge The Undertaker to a match at WrestleMania 36, with a contract signing for the match taking place next week on WWE RAW.
Booker T would then elaborate further, saying “we all talked about The Undertaker like that. I said that about the Undertaker when I wrestled him. ‘This guy’s past his prime. We all want that moment, especially that payday. It’s gonna be a great payday for AJ Styles. As well it’s gonna be great, great match, to be able to look back on, you know, many years from now, especially somebody like AJ Styles. I remember AJ Styles being that bright eyed bushy tailed kid in the WCW locker room. I don’t know he might have been 19 years old, just wishing. Like they say chomping at the bit to get in the game man. And now to see AJ Styles. At WrestleMania 2020, taking on The Undertaker? Congratulations kid, you made it.”
