Booker T says his Best-of-Seven Series with Chris Benoit in WCW was the best thing that he ever did in his career

Former WCW/WWE World Heavyweight Champion Booker T recently appeared on former WCW President Eric Bischoff’s podcast Bischoff on Wrestling to talk about various topics. During the interview, Booker T commented on his Best-of-Seven Series with Chris Benoit in WCW. He said that getting in the ring with Benoit and doing the Best-of-Seven Series was something that both of them thought it wasn’t something that they could do as they thought people wouldn’t buy watching two wrestlers compete against each other for seven straight weeks. They both agreed to go out there and do it, and we’re going to make it the best thing that anybody has ever seen before. He stated that they’re matches were magic. He told Benoit that he wanted to have matches just like the famous Ricky Steamboat – Randy Savage match at WrestleMania 3.

He noted that they didn’t talk about what they were going to do in the match but rather just let it all hang out in the ring. “It was all original. It was all on the fly, and it was the best thing that I ever did in my wrestling career.” He noted that when he joined WWE, they wanted him and Benoit to do it again and that he knew going into it that they couldn’t pull it off twice.
