Booker T says young wrestlers could learn a thing from Chris Jericho

WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T had some high praise for Chris Jericho recently. The five-time WCW Champion was a guest on fellow Hall Of Famer Steve Austin’s podcast. During their conversation, Booker T mentioned Chris Jericho. Jericho is undoubtedly set to join Booker and Austin in the Hall Of Fame down the road.

Before that happens though, the 47-year-old is still going strong in the business. In fact, the argument could be made that he’s the hottest name in the industry at the moment. Booker said that young wrestlers could learn a thing or two from “Y2J”:

“I look at a guy like Chris Jericho. This guy, man, he’s one of the hardest workers. He’s like James Brown. Do you know what I mean? He goes out and everything that he [has] done, he [has] done it on his own and on his own accord! He has created everything as far as Chris Jericho goes, and to be able to do that, a lot of these young guys, hopefully, they can take some advice from him.”

Jericho is an absolute legend in the company. He was the first-ever WWE Unified Champion in history. Jericho also won the World Heavyweight Title three times. He’s also a nine-time Intercontinental Champion and seven-time Tag Team Champion. Now, no longer being under contract with WWE, Jericho has elevated his game.

He is currently working shows at will, having done great work for New Japan Pro Wrestling lately and being the current IWGP Intercontinental Champion. He also made an appearance at last month’s historic All In pay-per-view event. There’s no telling what “Y2J” could do next.
