Booker T thinks Xavier Woods may never wrestle again

Xavier Woods’ injury was among the things discussed on the latest episode of WWE Backstage that aired on Friday Night after SmackDown.

As previously noted, it can take up him to one year to fully recover, which means he will miss WrestleMania and he will likely not be back until the end of the summer or early fall.

Booker T talked about Woods’ injury and noted how several years ago he had to be on the shelf for two months due to a back injury but the Woods’ Achilles injury is much worse.

Booker said, “I heard when he went down it was like somebody shot him and he just fell out in the middle of the ring. I think [Xavier’s] career, it could be over. It could be done. An Achilles tear is the worst injury one can get in the business.”

Booker is right that an Achilles tear is one of the worst injuries you can get but there have been wrestlers who have returned to action from that type of injury so predicting the end of his career might be a bit premature at this point.

For now, it looks like New Day members Big E and Kofi Kingston will work as a 2-man team until Woods is ready to return to action next year.
