WWE Hall of Famer Booker T is a huge fan of what Trick Williams is doing on the WWE NXT brand and he’s been there to give Trick help along the way as he continues his rise as one of the most popular wrestlers in the company.
While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker said he likes the idea of WWE paying for the rights for the “Whoop That Trick” song that was used in the movie “Hustle and Flow.”
“That’s not a bad idea,” Booker said. I think they can purchase it. I don’t think it’s out of the realm. I would have to add lips to it to make it work (he laughs). I’m looking forward to Trick getting the championship back, but it’s going to be an uphill climb. Right now, we’ve got so many people in line chomping at the bit wanting a shot at that championship, so Trick is going to have to put in some work.”
Booker T talking about Ethan Page in NXT:
“I got to give Ego some props because he stepped into NXT and he’s done a hell of a job. He’s filled a lot of those holes in places that NXT needed just because the NXT roster got depleted. A lot of guys left and we were wondering who’s going to come in and make an impact and really stir the pot up just a little bit. Ego has been one of those guys. I’m backing Ego.”
