Braun Strowman Calls His WWE Release A ‘Stupid Business Decision’

Former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman is not holding back his feelings about his release from the company earlier this year. The “Monster Amongst Men” recently took to social media to blast WWE for continuing to use his image in their promotional materials.

Braun Strowman Responds To A Fan

The situation began when a fan on the social media platform X pointed out that Strowman was featured heavily in WWE’s SummerSlam promotional content, including on the “WWE: Unreal” docuseries and in pre-show video packages. The fan tagged Triple H and questioned why Strowman was cut if his likeness was still being used.

“WWESummerSlam sure highlights a guy they cut from the roster in @Adamscherr99 a lot in promo highlights whether it be on @netflix Unreal or on the preshow for Summer Slam. Makes you wonder why the hell he was cut if they are using his image and likeness so much? @TripleH 🤔”

Braun Strowman’s “Stupid Business Decision”

Strowman responded directly to the fan with a blunt and critical assessment of his former employer’s choice to release him. “Casue someone made a stupid business decision!!!!”

Reports at the time of his release in May indicated that the decision was a financial one, with the company reportedly believing his contract was too expensive for how he was being utilized. It is clear from his social media post that Strowman disagrees with that assessment.

Strowman’s public frustration comes as he still has a project with the company set to be released. His new food series, “Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman,” which was produced by WWE Studios, is scheduled to premiere on the USA Network this fall. The full social media exchange can be found on Braun Strowman’s official X account.
