There have been mixed reports about Braun Strowman and his potential role in a big title match at WWE TLC.
It was originally reported on Monday that Strowman was slated to face Drew McIntyre for the WWE Title at this show. Then WWE did an angle where Strowman headbutted Adam Pearce and WWE suspended him for his actions.
The current storyline on TV is that a Triple Threat Match on Raw will determine McIntyre’s next challenger. Ringside News reported this week that Strowman was not listed on the internal company injury list.
The latest update came from Dave Meltzer on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio.
“So Braun Strowman does have a knee injury because he’s being treated for it. I don’t know the severity of it. The impression I have is that he is not going to be at TLC, so I think the three-way is going to be for the spot, but I don’t know that 100%. I don’t think anyone knows anything anyway. From what someone told me, the writing team still thinks it’s Strowman, that could be wrong. As of Monday, I had heard that part.
Meltzer noted that it’s probably not Strowman facing McIntyre at TLC, but “Strowman definitely suffered a knee injury.”
WWE has AJ Styles vs. Riddle vs. Keith Lee booked for Monday’s Raw with the winner challenging McIntyre for the WWE Title at TLC.
