Braun Strowman has suggested a potential summer 2026 timeline for his return to in-ring competition, nearly a year after his WWE release. Strowman, real name Adam Scherr, posted an image on X of himself slamming Brock Lesnar from one of their WWE encounters, with the caption holding a subtle reference to the recent viral showdown between Oba Femi and Lesnar on Raw. When podcaster Mike Gilbert asked him about when he planned to return to the ring, Strowman gave a tentative timeline.
“Maybe this summer,” Strowman replied. “I’m mid filming season two of Everything on the Menu now and have a few other projects. So will see.”
Strowman has not competed in any matches since his WWE release in May 2025. His last match took place on April 18, 2025, when he teamed with LA Knight against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. Since his departure from WWE, he has been focused on several projects outside of wrestling.
Everything on the Menu, a food-themed reality show in which Strowman travels across the country tasting food from local restaurants, officially announced a second season in January 2026. The show is co-produced by WWE, which allows Strowman to use his ring name despite no longer being under contract with the company. Last week, it was announced that Strowman had co-launched his own production company, Meat Castle Media.
Strowman’s road back to the ring has not been without obstacles. He began 2026 on a difficult note, revealing he had undergone urgent surgery to drain excess fluid from his knee after battling an infection. The health scare added further uncertainty to his return timeline, making his summer target a cautious one rather than a firm commitment.
Maybe this summer. I’m mid filming season two of everything on the menu now and have a few other projects. So will see.
