Braun Strowman’s replacement for WWE Mixed Match Challenge revealed

As we have mentioned before, WWE star Braun Strowman is set to undergo elbow surgery as he has been dealing with bone spurs for quite some time. Strowman was written off WWE TV on last week’s Raw after being attacked by Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre. It’s unknown if the surgery will affect his planned Tables Ladders and Chairs match with Corbin at TLC next month.

If Strowman wins, he will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble. If Corbin wins, his position as General Manager of Monday Night Raw will become permanent. However, in the midst of Strowman’s injury – which is legitimate – he has been forced to withdraw from the Mixed Match Challenge.

His partner, Ember Moon, must now compete in the tournament with a new male WWE star. That star is none other than Curt Hawkins. On Monday Night Raw last night, Moon faced MMC opponent Alicia Fox in a singles match, as Fox was accompanied by her partner, Jinder Mahal (along with The Singh Brothers).

With Hawkins in her corner, Moon was able to pick up the victory. Moon and Hawkins will team up to take on the team of “Mahalicia” in the MMC tonight following SmackDown Live.
