Newly crowned WWE Champion Bray Wyatt recently spoke with ESPN.com about winning the championship at Sunday’s WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. When asked about winning the championship, he said that to him it was an up-yours to the authority because when he walked into this, he doesn’t think that anyone ever looked at him and said that he would be WWE Champion one day. “I’ve seen so many come and go over the years, and so many that look the part and thought they were something special and they just weren’t. And someone like me, I had to cut my teeth for years just to be recognized. No one looked at my direction.” He noted that he had to grab them by the throat and make them look into his eyes and say look at him. He added that it is a huge accomplishment for him because no one else expected it to happen.
When asked what the victory means to him, he said that it pretty much tells him that he is in the main event of WrestleMania 33, which he thinks is pretty cool.
Wyatt also discussed his legacy being cemented and more. You can read the full interview here.
