Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton have been feuding together on television since last month.
Originally, WWE had announced that Orton would take on Bray Wyatt’s alter ego, The Fiend, in a singles match at the upcoming TLC PPV. However, on Thursday, the company announced that the match had received a new stipulation as they will do battle in the first-ever Firefly Inferno match.
This comes after WWE did an angle on Monday’s episode of Raw that saw Orton put Wyatt in a box and set it on fire only to have The Fiend show up seconds later to attack the former WWE Champion.
Wyatt took to his Twitter account to send out this cryptic message on Twitter by writing the following:
“Dear Randy, it’s all a [heavy large circle emoji]. One ending was just another beginning. The Angel with the burnt wings is waving you on home. You can’t kill it. #WWETLC.”
WWE has booked inferno matches in the past – most notably The Undertaker vs. Kane in 1998.
It’s all a ⭕️
One ending was just another beginning
The Angel with the burnt wings is waving you on home.
