Mike Johnson at PWInsider.com is confirming that Dave Batista will be returning to the company, possibly as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble. The Thomas and Mack Center ad that was reported on earlier was indeed a tip off and leaked prematurely.
Johnson reports that WWE has been speaking with Batista since the spring but his acting schedule prevented him from working with the company. It looks like (according to one source) that Batista will be with the company until he starts promotion for the upcoming film “Guardians” which is slated for an 8/1/14 release.
