Former WWE star Brian Christopher Lawler has passed away

As noted earlier, Brian Christopher Lawler, the son of WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler, passed away after he was found hanging in his jail cell last night. The belief is that he hung himself and his situation was dire when they found him. Lawler was in jail after he was arrested earlier this month for a DUI and evading police. We heard rumors earlier this morning that he passed away but we were not able to confirm that until now and it has also been confirmed by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

What makes today even sadder is the news that former WWF Tag Team Champion Nikolai Volkoff (70) and Brickhouse Brown (57) have also passed away. Volkoff was recently hospitalized due to dehydration and other health issues. For more on Volkoff’s passing, click here.

Brown died after a long battle with prostate cancer. He was reported to have passed away last weekend later was reported alive just hours later in what some said was a miraculous recovery. His family confirmed that he passed away this morning.

As noted earlier, Lawler has dealt with substance abuse for many years and the hope among his friends was that this latest arrest would be a wake-up call for him. WWE is aware and tributes should be up on their website sometime this afternoon.

On behalf of everyone here at WrestlingNews.co, we send our condolences to the friends and families of Lawler, Brown and Volkoff.

Here is a clip of Christopher from 2014 when Too Cool appeared on Old School Raw.
