This week’s show was up 10 percent last week and drew 2.41 million viewers. The first three hours took up the first three spots on the top rated cable shows list for the night but came in sixth overall when you average out the three hours.
The viewership increased from the first to the second hour because of the tease of Lesnar cashing in his briefcase. The third hour drew 2.35 million viewers, which is more than the first hour and something that has been a rare occurrence in recent years. This was likely because fans were sticking with the show to see The Undertaker.
WWE also benefited from not having competition from the NBA. Next week’s viewership will be interesting because they will go up against game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors.
Here is the hourly breakdown:
Hour 1 – 2.31 million viewers
Hour 2 – 2.56 million viewers
Hour 3 – 2.35 million viewers
