Brock Lesnar could lose a ton of money if his drug suspension is upheld

The Nevada State Athletic Commission will have to set a hearing soon regarding Brock Lesnar’s potential anti-doping violation. If his suspension is upheld then the fight with Mark Hunt will be ruled a no-contest. We don’t know when the hearing is going to be scheduled but Jon Jones’ hearing was scheduled for this week so Lesnar’s hearing should be fairly soon. At the earing, we should hear confirmation on what Lesnar allegedly had in his system when he tested positive.

The NSAC guidelines for a first offense is to fine the person 50 to 75 percent of their purse. That would be somewhere between $1.25 – $1.75 million of his announced purse. Also, if they go after his pay-per-view bonus then he could lose millions of dollars on top of that.

Everything depends on what he failed for and whether or not the NSAC believes that what he had in his system was something he took accidentally.  I’m sure they’ve heard every excuse in the book so Lesnar’s team will have to put on a real strong case for the NSAC to back off.

Hunt continues to speak out on Lesnar’s potential violation:
