Fans noticed while watching WWE WrestleMania Backlash that the company is now splicing in old footage at times during video packages. WWE has been piping in crowd noise during their shows for years.
Michael Corcoran, better known to wrestling fans as the Brock Lesnar Guy, posted a video on Twitter with the caption, “Recycled Lesnar Guy.” In the video, he shows footage of his reaction while in the crowd during a John Cena promo a decade ago being used for the Baron Corbin vs. Madcap Moss video package.

The Moss vs. Corbin match was booked in a tough spot on the card as it was between Ronda Rousey beating Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Title and the six-man tag team match where The Bloodline beat Drew McIntyre and RK-Bro.
It looks like WWE is increasing the usage of old footage to make their current programming seem more exciting. During a recent episode of WWE Evil about Stephanie McMahon as a heel, they inserted crowd shots from the Eddie Guerrero tribute show to make it look like fans were reacting to a 1999 segment with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
