We are in full swing for WrestleMania season. Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman came out to the ring during the third hour of this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw to address Bill Goldberg after Goldberg eliminated Lesnar from the Royal Rumble match on Sunday night. Heyman issued a challenge for Goldberg to face Lesnar one final time at WrestleMania.
As we’ve noted on the site for weeks (via Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer newsletter), the plan since Survivor Series has been for Goldberg vs. Lesnar at Mania. The match is not “official” yet in the storylines because Goldberg still needs to accept the challenge. Goldberg vs. Lesnar will likely be the “real” main event of the show.
