Brock Lesnar Says His WWE Return Is For A Short Time: ‘I Went Back To Work So I Could Feed My Kids’

Brock Lesnar has explained his return to WWE in characteristically blunt fashion, saying he came back to the company simply to provide for his family. Speaking on Spittin Chiclets, Lesnar addressed his decision to return to WWE following his extended absence and kept his reasoning straightforward.

“I went back to work so I could feed my kids,” Lesnar said. “You guys should see my grocery bill. I had left the company years ago, and I’m grateful that I’m back for a short time here, so I’m really grateful for all the opportunities that I’ve had in my life.”

The comment is consistent with other remarks Lesnar has made during the same interview run, in which he stated that none of his championships or professional accolades mean anything to him and that his children are the only legacy that matters.

Lesnar returned to WWE at the end of SummerSlam 2025 Night Two, marking his first appearance with the company since being named in former WWE employee Janel Grant’s sex trafficking lawsuit against the company and former CEO Vince McMahon. He is currently in the midst of a program with Oba Femi heading into WrestleMania 42, and his reference to being back for a short time adds further weight to the ongoing speculation that he may retire at SummerSlam later this year.

WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
