Brock Lesnar returned to action at Saturday night's live event in Mexico City. It's Lesnar's first WWE appearance since losing to Bill Goldberg at the Survivor Series. Early in the show, they showed a promo from Rusev on the big screen promising to crush Lesnar. With that said, the match result in Mexico City should not come as a surprise as Lesnar defeated Rusev in less than five minutes. Lesnar's offense consisted of four suplexes and an F5.
This was a rare appearance for Lesnar as his contract calls for him to work on a few select live events. It's stipulated in his deal that the non-televised shows he works on are to be short matches. That is why his match with Rusev on Saturday night was so short. Lesnar will now prep for next month's Royal Rumble from San Antonio, TX. Bill Goldberg will also be in the match and the belief is that there will be something done at that show to set up their WrestleMania 33 match in Orlando. The next non-televised event for Brock Lesnar is the show in Buffalo on Friday, March 10. As of this writing, they have yet to announce his opponent for that show.
By the time most of you read this, we'll have complete match results up on the homepage from the show in Mexico City.
