WWE Executive Director Bruce Prichard is expected to return to his duties as soon as this week, according to PWInsider.com. Prichard has been on a leave of absence from the company since November 2024 to attend to family health matters.
Prichard’s absence sparked rumors about his status with WWE, but these were dismissed by PWInsider at the time. Conrad Thompson, Prichard’s podcast co-host, later clarified the situation, stating on their show, “I just want to address the elephant in the room. There’s been a lot of rumor and innuendo about Bruce Prichard. Just to clear it up, Bruce Prichard is still with WWE. Bruce Prichard is not quitting his podcast, but if you’re a longtime listener of this show, you know that there have been health events in the Prichard family and household and right now, Bruce is going to take a little bit of a leave of absence from WWE, and he’s going to be away, taking care of what’s really important.”
As Executive Director of Creative Writing and Talent, he plays a crucial role in shaping WWE’s storylines and programming. Prichard has been with the company on and off since 1987. PWInsider reports that internal sources anticipate his presence at tomorrow’s Smackdown taping.
