Bryan Danielson Confirms He Is ‘Not Back,’ Admits Some AEW: All In Moves Were Not Cleared

Following his surprise physical appearance at the AEW All In: Texas pay-per-view, Bryan Danielson has clarified his current in-ring status. In a new interview, Danielson confirmed that he is “not back” and admitted that he performed some moves during the event that were not medically cleared as he continues to deal with a serious neck injury.

Danielson Admits Not All Moves Were Cleared

Speaking on the Nikki and Brie Show, Danielson was asked if he was supposed to get as physical as he did during the main event at All In. He confessed that he got caught up in the moment and went beyond what was approved.

“Well, some of them I had cleared, some of them I did not, but I was feeling it,” Danielson said with a laugh. “To be fair, Dr. Samson wasn’t upset, but he did think I was an idiot.”

‘No, I’m Not Back’

Despite getting physically involved by hitting his signature Busaiku Knee and “Yes” kicks on members of the Death Riders faction, Danielson was direct when asked if his appearance meant he was officially returning to active competition. “No, I’m not back,” he stated.

Danielson’s confirmation that he is not yet back aligns with previous statements he has made about his priorities during his extended hiatus. At a recent Starrcast stage show, Danielson revealed that he has been focusing on his family and has been training to become a volunteer firefighter as a way to be of service to his local community. His last official match was at the WrestleDream pay-per-view in October 2024.
