Buddy Murphy taking time off from WWE 205 Live

On Wednesday night, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy was teasing a big announcement regarding his future with the WWE, which got a lot of fans talking online.

This is where the top star on the 205 Live brand announced that he will be away from WWE 205 Live for a few weeks as he’s taking a vacation back to his hometown of Melbourne, Australia. He issued the following statement:

“Since my arrival to 205 Live I have loved every moment! Going from nothing to something was a incredible achievement for myself! That being said I would like to officially announce that I will not be on 205 live for the foreseeable future!The champ is going on a well deserved vacation back to ‘My hometown of Melbourne, Australia!, For the next few weeks! Cause the champ does what he wants! When he wants! I’ll be watching closely to see who advances in the ‘Buddy Murphy Classic’ – Who wants to try and stop the unstoppable!? – BM”

WWE is currently holding a tournament to crown the new #1 contender for his title. It all started once Tony Nese beat Kalisto and Drew Gulak beat Brian Kendrick to advance this week.

Next Tuesday’s show will continue with the tournament once Oney Lorcan vs. Humberto Carrillo and Cedric Alexander vs. Akira Tozawa takes place. The winner of these matches will then face Nese and Gulak. The winner of this tournament will challenge Murphy for the Cruiserweight Title at Wrestlemania 35 in April.
