Buff Bagwell Says He Is Planning To Test His Ability To Wrestle Again

Buff Bagwell has expressed his desire to step back into the wrestling ring, provided he can perform at a level that meets his standards. During an appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Bagwell discussed the possibility of wrestling a match with his prosthetic leg.

Bagwell stated he is confident he has a few matches left in him but is cautious about the quality of his performance. “I know I could wrestle again, another match or two, but if I can’t do it where it’s ugly, I’m not going to do it. And I’m not sure that’s possible,” Bagwell said. He noted his concern about how his movement would look to the audience. “I don’t want to be ugly. If it’s ugly at all, I’m not going to do it.”

To determine if a return is feasible, Bagwell plans to test his limitations in the near future. “We’re definitely going to, in the next couple of months, I’m going to get in the ring and just see what I can do. But I really do think no matter what I will do one match just to… because that’s one of my goals.”

He also mentioned reaching out to industry veterans about potential non-wrestling roles. “I really… reached out to Tommy Dreamer and just said, ‘Look, just no pressure, just throwing it out there. But I think I could do something, manage or something, and bring some excitement to the TV still.'”

Despite the challenges, Bagwell remains optimistic about his mobility. He noted that he has been walking without a cane for two weeks, a milestone he once thought was impossible. “I didn’t believe I was ever going to walk without a cane, because that’s how much I needed a cane… I’ve been walking with no cane for about two weeks, and getting better and better every day.”
