Cain Velasquez’s tag team match with Rey Mysterio pulled from WWE Mexico show

Cain Velasquez Rey Mysterio

It turns out that former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez won’t be wrestling at a live event on November 30th at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico.

He was supposed to team up with Rey Mysterio to take on Andrade and Drew McIntyre, which would’ve marked his second match under the WWE banner.

WWE Mexico announced a new card for the Supershow this week where it was revealed that the match had been nixed but noted that Velasquez would still be appearing at the show.

It was reported earlier this month that the belief was Cain needed surgery on his bad knee, which is why his match against WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel was short. Cain lost that match.

Here is the updated card for the Mexico City WWE Supershow:

Steel Cage Match for the WWE Universal Title: The Miz vs. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt (champion)
