Candice LeRae comments on possible WWE main roster call up

Candice LeRae did an interview with DailyDDT.com to discuss a wide range of topics.

She’ll challenge Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Title this Sunday at the NXT TakeOver 31 event on the WWE Network.

During the interview, she was asked about a possible move from NXT to the WWE main roster. She did take part in the the 2019 and 2020 women’s Royal Rumble matches. However, LeRae stated that she’s never heard talk of WWE considering to move her up from NXT.

She stated that she never wants to get her hopes up or assume something. She stated that when she worked the Royal Rumble matches, it didn’t feel real until she was in the matches. LeRae added that nothing is real until it is and you’re in the moment.

“I’m very biased, but I love NXT,” she said. “I really love the environment, and for me, so much of it is feeling a certain way when you’re wrestling as a fan and there’s something about NXT for me that feels like home and I feel like I belong in NXT.

It makes me so happy and I always feel like the talent there push me to be my best because no matter how long I’ve been doing this, I’m always trying to get better. I’m never going to be perfect, I always want to be better, and I feel like NXT forces me to do that. It forces me to be at my absolute best at all times, and I love that. I love feeling that anybody can take my spot at any moment and that I have to just go. I love wrestling, so as long as I don’t have to stop wrestling I’m fine anywhere, but I just love NXT so much. I can’t stress enough.”

LeRae also talked about her journey in the pro wrestling business, facing Shirai, and more. Check out the full interview here.
