Last week, Dave Meltzer reported that Candice LeRae was close to signing a deal with WWE. She’s been at some of the tapings since the Mae Young Classic but was never under a deal.
That changed on Wednesday. Squared Circle Sirens is reporting that LeRae has signed a developmental deal with the company and she has passed the standard medical testing. LeRae will start at the Performance Center in Orlando in a few weeks.
LeRae was one of the most popular competitors in the Mae Young Classic and the betting line at the time was that she would eventually be signed to a deal. She is a former PWG World Tag Team Champion with Joey Ryan and she is the wife of current WWE NXT Superstar Johnny Gargano.
