Carlito Says WWE Not Renewing His Deal Was “Not The End Of The World”

Former WWE United States Champion Carlito has opened up about his recent departure from the company, expressing some frustration with how his exit was handled while maintaining that “it’s not the end of the world.”

Carlito On WWE Not Renewing His Contract

While speaking with D-Von Dudley in a new interview, Carlito confirmed that his WWE contract came to an end and the company chose not to renew it. He revealed that he was only informed of the decision two weeks before the contract expired and was told not to come to the final television taping, which he felt was unprofessional.

“It’s the other, the contract ended and they wanted me not to renew… they call it like two weeks out. You don’t have to come to the RAW or whatever,” Carlito said. “I’m professional. I don’t like that they- I’m a professional. I’ll come in… Treat me like a mark or something.”

‘Not The End Of The World’

Despite his feelings on how the departure was handled, the former Judgment Day member is taking it in stride. He is now set to return to the independent wrestling scene. “I’ll do my job and yes, whatever. It’s not the end of the world either,” he concluded.

Since Carlito’s departure in June, The Judgment Day has remained a dominant force on Monday Night Raw. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez defended their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at the Evolution premium live event. Dominik Mysterio will defend the Intercontinental Title against AJ Styles at SummerSlam.
