Cesaro has been left in the shuffle since his tag team partner was sidelined due to injury, which has led to many fans hoping the company does something significant with the talented wrestler.
Sheamus has been out of action with spinal stenosis hasn’t appeared since an episode of SmackDown Live in April. This is where he competed in a six-man headliner alongside Cesaro and Drew McIntyre where they lost to The New Day.
Dave Meltzer reported in a September edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Sheamus along with The Usos are “scheduled back somewhat soon.”
In this interview, Cesaro was asked about a potential reunion with Sheamus when he does make his WWE return.
“I was lucky to be in some very great tag teams with people I’ve gotten along with tremendously well: Jack Swagger, Tyson Kidd and Sheamus. ‘We The People’, by the way… That was our idea and it’s still over!
“It’s great, being part of a tag team is a different challenge than obviously having success as a singles. I’m really stubborn about trying to be successful as a singles wrestler, so that’s what I’m focusing on right now.
“I still talk to Sheamus pretty much every day, giving each other c**p! Just like you saw on television.”
