Chad Gable comments on possibly transitioning into MMA



Chad Gable recently spoke with the Miami Herald about his career and more. During the interview, he was asked about the possibility of transitioning to MMA. "No. A lot of people ask that and think it would have made sense, considering my background.” He noted that MMA is something that he is not very interested in and doesn’t watch it. He thinks that a lot of people assume that he is a fan of MMA, but he is not and for whatever reason, it didn’t grab him as it has with a lot of people that has an amateur wrestling background. He said that he fell in love with amateur wrestling and pro wrestling.

When asked about his favorite wrestlers, he noted that loved the guys that were in the WCW Cruiserweight division including Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, and Chris Jericho. "As it evolved, I grew to appreciate guys who had a lot of technical abilities like Bret and Owen Hart." He said that Guerrero was favorite of his through the years because he was a smaller guy, but he never wrestled like a smaller guy. He noted that Guerrero wrestled like he was just as big as anyone he was going up against.
