Since WWE wrote Charlotte Flair off television during Monday’s episode of Raw after being attacked by Nia Jax, there have been mixed reports about how long she’ll be gone from WWE.
The common belief in the reports is that she will be getting surgery done. The timeframe for her return is what is mixed as some have stated that she won’t be back until Royal Rumble season while some state that she’ll be back by SummerSlam, which is scheduled to take place in August. The former WWE Raw, SmackDown, and NXT Women’s Champion made an appearance on Sport Hiatus where she briefly commented on her hiatus. According to Flair, she will only be gone for a few weeks from the company.
“Yes, I’ll only be gone for a few weeks. They can still play things on the WWE Network, but utilizing my social media will be most important while I’m gone.”
She then brought up how she’s part of many organizations with WWE including “Girl Up,” which she is able to stream through social media. “No one is going to miss me. They’re still going to feel like I’m there is basically what I’m saying. I’m gone but I’m not really gone.”
