Andrade hasn’t worked a match since last October, which featured him dropping a loss to Angel Garza. He had been paired with Zelina Vega and Garza on WWE television last year, but lost his big push after Paul Heyman departed from his role as Raw Executive Director.
It’s been reported that Heyman was behind the pushes of Andrade, Ricochet, Aleister Black, and others. Most of those names haven’t been used the same way since Heyman left the position.
Charlotte Flair, who is in a relationship with Andrade, was asked during an interview with TV Insider whether she would be open to working with her boyfriend on television. It turns out that Flair has pitched this to WWE officials, but it hasn’t happened yet.
“I’ve actually pitched that. I would be very much open to that. I’ve done a lot in my career, but nobody has seen me in an on-cam relationship, or in that light. I can come across cold on TV.”
Last December, WrestleVotes reported that there had been an idea discussed to have Flair and Andrade paired on TV when they return. That obviously didn’t happen as Flair returned at the TLC PPV event to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles with Asuka.
