WWE brought Charlotte Flair back to television on the post-WrestleMania edition of Raw two weeks ago but then suspended her in storyline on this week’s Raw.
It was first reported by TalkSport’s Alex McCarthy on Tuesday and later confirmed by Dave Meltzer on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that the real reason behind Flair being “suspended” is due to her taking time off from the company to have dental surgery.
There’s no word yet on the exact timeline for her return, but she’s not expected to be out for a long period of time.
Flair ended up missing a few weeks in March and early April including WrestleMania 37 due to her testing positive for COVID-19. Last week’s Raw saw her cut a heel promo about Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley and Asuka then later attacked them while they were working a rematch from WrestleMania 37.
Monday’s Raw saw Flair get upset after she was beaten by Asuka so she took out her frustrations on referee Eddie Orengo. This was her first match since the March 1st episode of Monday Night Raw. WWE later fined her $100,000 and gave her an indefinite suspension.
