Charlotte Flair has staked her claim as the true Diva Killer, firing back at Becky Lynch after Lynch claimed on Raw that she was the one responsible for ending the Divas Era. Speaking on the Complex Graps podcast, Charlotte was direct in pushing back against Lynch’s assertion.
“The real Diva Killer,” Charlotte said. “I am so proud of that title. This was actually Nikki’s. That is the OG one.”

Charlotte’s comments reference the fact that the Diva Killer nickname had previously been associated with Nikki Bella before Charlotte took ownership of it, adding a layer of lineage to her claim. The back-and-forth with Lynch adds a pointed edge to what is an ongoing personal rivalry between two heading into WrestleMania 42 season.
Charlotte’s case for the title is well founded in historical terms. It was she who won the inaugural WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 32 in April 2016, the night WWE officially retired the Divas Championship and stopped referring to its female performers as Divas. Charlotte had held the Divas Title heading into that WrestleMania and was the last woman to do so, making her the final Divas Champion before the rebrand took effect.
Charlotte, Lynch, and Sasha Banks were all called up to the main roster together in 2015 as part of the Divas Revolution, WWE’s response to growing criticism about how its women performers were being utilized. The three were credited with helping shift perceptions of women’s wrestling in WWE and laying the groundwork for the women’s evolution that followed.
