Charlotte Flair hasn’t been seen on WWE television since dropping the SmackDown Women’s Title to Ronda Rousey in an I Quit Match at WrestleMania Backlash in May.
At the time, the reason for her being written off television was her getting married to AEW’s Andrade El Idolo earlier this summer and wanted the time off for the special occasion. Despite the wedding happening a few months ago and Andrade returning to AEW TV, Flair is still away from WWE television.
In August, Flair did appear on Steve Austin’s “Broken Skull Sessions” show. This past weekend, she indicated potential plans for her return during an appearance on the WWE’s Most Extreme Moments Countdown special.
While doing an interview with Mas Lucha, Andrade discussed his relationship with Triple H and whether Triple H has reached out to him as he was one of the names speculated about WWE being interested in returning. Andrade noted that Flair asked for time off due to personal reasons.
“And if he wanted to speak to me, my wife works there, so he can always reach out to me from there too. It is difficult at the same time because Ashley (Charlotte Flair) has time off due to personal reasons, and she will specify them in future interviews. It was very heavy because she worked on Thursdays to work on Weekends while I traveled on Tuesdays and returned on Thursdays as soon as she was scheduled to leave. Right now, we are good because I get to see her more. I hope she comes back soon.”
Flair is slated to do an autograph signing in New York City at the Big Event this November. Check out the interview below:
