Chelsea Green Pitches WWE Tag Team Title Run With Cardi B

WWE star Chelsea Green has a big idea for the host of SummerSlam, Cardi B. In a new interview, Green pitched the idea of teaming up with the Grammy-winning artist to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

A Pitch To Team With Cardi B

Speaking on the Superstar Crossover podcast, Green shared her desire to form a team with the celebrity host, who is a well-known WWE fan. Green believes she and the rap superstar could be a formidable duo.

“I know she’s a fan girl of me. She absolutely loves me, so maybe she should hop on over, and we should tag team,” Green said. “I feel like maybe Chelsea G and Cardi B versus… I mean, really, anyone, but I definitely want to go for the champs, the tag champs.”

A Busy SummerSlam Weekend For All Involved

While a potential team-up between Green and Cardi B is purely speculative at this point, both women will be a part of the two-night SummerSlam event. Cardi B will be hosting the festivities at MetLife Stadium. Chelsea Green, meanwhile, is part of the “Secret Hervice” faction on Monday Night Raw alongside Alba Fyre and Piper Niven.

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships will be defended at SummerSlam, but the champions, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, already have challengers. They are scheduled to defend their titles against the newly formed team of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
