Chelsea Green Reveals Original Plans For WWE US Women’s Championship Win

In a recent interview on Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Chelsea Green discussed her WWE career and revealed a significant change in plans regarding the U.S. Women’s Championship at the Survivor Series pay-per-view.

According to Green, she was originally slated to win the title at the event, which took place in Canada on the West Coast. “I was supposed to win it at Survivor Series in, not only in Canada on the West Coast,” Green stated.

Adding a personal layer to the revelation, Green highlighted the extensive support system she had present for the event. “Do you know how many tickets I bought for that show? Oh, well, that’s a whole other conversation. But keep in mind when I say bought, I had like 30 friends and family there. I had every bridesmaid and I had like 12 bridesmaids. I had every bridesmaid there, all of their partners. I had their babies there. I had all of my family, my mom’s friends, everyone was there.”

This paints a picture of Green and her loved ones anticipating a major career milestone. However, those plans ultimately changed.

“I don’t know when the plans changed, but when I found out it was probably a week before,” Green revealed.

This indicates a relatively late alteration in the creative direction, leaving Green and her supporters with a different outcome than initially expected. The U.S. Women’s Championship match at Survivor Series in 2023 ultimately saw Tiffany Stratton defeat Shotzi for the vacant title in a singles match. Green’s revelation offers a glimpse into the dynamic and often last-minute nature of professional wrestling creative decisions.
