As noted earlier this week, Chris Hero has already gone through the WWE medical process and it’s looking like he is being brought back. Despite the reports going around, there is no word on when he would be starting or what his role will be either with NXT or the main roster. The deal could always fall through but it seems that WWE is pretty serious about bringing him back if they had him see their doctor in Pittsburgh.
I’m surprised that he was released from developmental back in 2013 because he was probably one of the best workers in the company. If you haven’t seen any of Hero’s matches lately then you should track some of them down, especially his matches at PWG’s BOLA. He was originally supposed to be one of the members of The Shield (a CM Punk idea) before the role was given to Roman Reigns instead.
For those that have asked, the comment about “irresponsible journalism” on twitter had nothing to do with Dave Meltzer breaking the story about Hero headed back to WWE.
I can't help but to be disappointed by irresponsible journalism.
